A day that I will never forget. The day that My Baby Boo was BORN. Okay, a little story here.

A SUPRISE BIRTHDAY VISIT.

It was on Friday, in the afternoon, after performing the 'Jumaat' prayer. I went to bandar at around 3ish and then, went straight to Q-lap and bought two cakes; an ELMO cake (yes, in the very last minute =p) & an 'I LOVE YOU' cake for our coming 2 years and 2 months anniversary on 16th (besuknya) hahaha! then went to Rimba and bought a card and a pen. hahaha! how reckless am I??? =p

So anyway, I went straight to UBD's ATM area. During that moment, I got information that she was doing her group work with her colleagues in SHBIE, UBD. So then, I sit in front of the Taib's ATM section, set up the cakes and cards, made a 'phony emergency call' and then, hide iniside the toilet like those cheetahs in Africa waiting for their preys in the bushes =p

And yea, after a few minutes, she came to the scene with her friend, Maya and BOOM!!!

My Iban Experience With Her, Part 2

After exploring the rural parts of Kampong Amo, Temburong District and after discovering the origins of The Iban's true origins, cultures, weapons and etcs, we went back to Brunei-Muara District and there, we continued our findings of 'The Iban' in order to deepen our knowledges, understandings and facts about this amazing tribe.

For Part 2, the venue was at Kampong Sinarubai. There, we went to Faisal's a.k.a The Boss's house & met his Sarawak born 'Aki' or Grandfather as well as other family members. The purposes of this visit was to experience how to make a 'Terabai' shield, then colour how to colour it, and then, discuss about the materials used and its origins. So here, I attached some photos for you to enjoy =)

There I was, roaming about in my own beloved village, Kampong Penanjong. I went down to the beach and took some photos of the beach's features. For your info, the beach has been converted into a 'Taman Peranginan' so the beach was installed with 'Pondoks', BBQ Stands, Restrooms and others more.

The most cutest thing of all for me was, the planting of young trees for the future. It shows how much we love the environment as well as the ecosystem. It will also be useful for the long term effects; clear air, clean water & etcs, as we, the current youths, will inherit such valuable assets of the village. I thank you to those who had worked hard for this. Thank you everyone =)

Alhamdulillah. Praise to the Almighty Allah for giving us happiness and goodness. For the past few years, my dad had always told me that he wanted to buy this car and that car. I was aware that he wanted to buy another car and I told him this, "No need to buy another car bah, why? because you have one already bah, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THINGS THAT ALREADY HAVE BAH". Then he went quiet and never spoken about it again.

Several weeks after that, he repeated the same conversation; he wanted this car and that car. I had to shut my ears so that I won't hear the same stuff over and over again. And so, after a few years, this new car of his came. One night, I was back home late at that time. I realised that something was different about our is garage, then I saw this blue metalic shiny object right in front of me. "OH MAN! A NEW CAR???" I said.

Then, later in the morning, mom came to me and asked me, with a weird smile, about what I saw last night. "YES, A CAR" I replied. Then she said this, "YES, BUT NOT ONLY JUST A CAR, BUT A CAR THAT HE HAD DREAMT FOR YEARS, A CAR THAT HE DESERVES AFTER ALL HIS YEARS OF HARD WORK, A CAR FOR HIS COMING PENSION LIFE".

And then, something struck me and so, I soon understood that for all this time...

HE WAS AFTERING FOR HIS REWARDS OF HARDWORK!!! =)

Reminisce: My RESCO moments with Her x)

I would like to share a moment and reminisce about our (me & Diyana) days when we were fellow RESCO-rians. I enjoyed it. Alhamdulillah. Of course, there was a fair share of ups and downs, happy moments, sad moments, 'really-wanna-punch-people-in-the-face moment' and all those things. I've realised that all of those things are common stuffs when being in an organisation/team.

In other words, the experiences that I gained during my time as a RESCO-rian are very valuable. I learnt a lot from mistakes. I've changed a bit. And the most important thing is, I've improved in particular aspects such as management & etc.

My Iban Experience With Her, Part 1

Diyana's group held a visit to an Iban Community at Temburong for them to study their culture, history and way of living. I was invited to join and help out back then. And inda ku menyasal because IT WAS ONE HECK OF AN EXPERIENCE! Really2 worth it!!! So here are some photos during that day. Enjoy~ =)

We begin our journey from Kg. Ayer.

Off to temburong with a motorised speed bot. More like a small bus or a van.

We arrived at Temburong. Waiting to be picked up by Faisal's Dad & Uncle.

It says "SELAMAT DATANG. WELCOME KE/TO RUMAH PANJANG KAMPONG AMO 'C'"

Here, they interviewed Faisal's Aki/Grandfather, about the history of the 'Ilang' - a sword and 'Terabai' - shield.

This is the 'Ruai' - corridor of the Iban's 'Rumah Panjang' - Long House.

An Iban performing the legendary 'Tarian Ngajat' - Ngajat Dance with the 'Ilang' & 'Terabai'.

A particular music or vibe was performed by a band which I think was led by this man.

I was attempting to emulate the 'Tarian Ngajat' but then, I did the Michael Jackson dance tah pulang. FAIL!!! =p hahaha!!!

At last, we arrived back at Kg. Ayer. Alhamdulillah.

What have I learnt from this visit???

Alhamdulillah, by Allah's will, I've completed my course at UBD and now I'm a graduate. Recently, I received a letter for an interview at JSS on 14/10/10, Thursday (which is tomorrow).
